A five minute walk from Kephalo takes you to the heart of the charming village of Beer, which was a finalist for the 'village of the year' in 2018. This traditional fishing village has a pebble beach where the fishing boats are winched up and a wet fish shop on the beach selling the catch of the day.

This spacious home is an ideal base for walkers, friends and families to explore, just a short walk from the beach, where the stunning cliffs form part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. You may even choose to leave the car parked at the house and explore this wonderful area on foot and via local transport.

Kephalo is a semi-detached house with an open plan ground floor with living, dining and kitchen-areas, creating a large, sociable room where everyone can be together, with further space in the bright conservatory, perfect for a quiet read.

Four versatile bedrooms include a king-size double room on the ground floor, next to a shower-room. On the first floor there is one king-size double and one super-king – which can be split to make a twin room – and a single room. The enclosed terraced garden has the bonus of a garden-room (unheated) at the top if you want a little time out, but you will need to muster your energy as it is a steep climb! There is also a shed, which is perfect for storing buggies and bikes.

From Easter until October half-term there are three beach cafes on the sheltered beach and boats can be hired for fishing and exploring. There are great rock pools to explore at low tide. A heritage centre provides lots of information about the area. You will find some very good independent shops in the village selling local produce, holiday indulgences and everything you need for fun on the beach.

A footpath opposite Kephalo links to the South West Coast Path, giving direct access to the magnificent clifftop walk to nearby Branscombe, where a beach cafe and two pubs welcome you. You are surrounded by stunning coastline; Lyme Regis, with its iconic harbour, is a short drive over the border into Dorset, where you will find a sandy beach, some great cafes, restaurants, pubs and independent shops. Nearby Seaton has the Jurassic Visitor Centre and Seaton Tramway, which takes you inland along the River Axe through Seaton Wetlands Bird and Nature Reserve to the historic town of Colyton. Further afield you will find Regency Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton.

The beautiful Pecorama Gardens are above the village of Beer; this nine acre site includes a miniature railway, indoor soft play, outdoor play-area and crazy golf, all of which offer a great day out for families and model railway enthusiasts alike. For those who love running, mud and an adventure, The Grizzly is an infamous, tough run along the coast held every year in March, which passes through Beer.
