SingleSet in the heart of the pretty village of St Mawgan and only a five minute drive from the golden sands and stunning coastline of Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth; Forge Cottage is a truly delightful holiday retreat.
Lovingly and impeccably presented throughout, you are sure to unwind and relax in no time at all. Entering the property on the ground floor you are greeted by a wonderful open plan living space, sink into the sofa in front of the wood-burner while your loved one cooks you a tasty treat. The breakfast-bar is the perfect spot to enjoy time together planning the next day's adventure with a chilled bottle of wine from the wine fridge. You are spoilt for space at Forge Cottage with a second snug on the first floor where you can settle down with your favourite film and a hot coffee from the coffee pod machine.
Upstairs you will also find the three bedrooms and family bathroom. The main bedroom has a king-size bed with crisp white sheets and calming tones for a good night's slumber. The second bedroom is a comfortable double and there's a single bedroom. The family bathroom has a bath for a long relaxing soak or perhaps hop in the shower to wash your salty locks after a day on the beach.
All the delights of the village are within a short stroll of this charming semi-detached cottage including the beautiful church and convent where the gentle sound of pealing bells can sometimes be heard. Stock up on some essential provisions at the village shop, enjoy some traditional Cornish hospitality at the Falcon Inn, with its wonderful beer garden, or you can indulge in a cream tea in the village tea rooms. The younger members of the group can burn off some energy in the village park and for the horticulturalists the Japanese Garden is a treat.
Combine the taste of village life with some adventures on the coast where there are world class water sports to master at Watergate Bay.
Mawgan Porth is a family favourite offering acres of golden sands and rock pools and caves to explore. You are sure to visit the popular fishing town of Padstow, to wander the shops and galleries, join a boat trip, visit historic Prideaux Place or simply sample the delights of one of the many cafes and restaurants - you may even get there on two wheels if you hire a bike at Wadebridge and cycle along the renowned Camel Trail.
With the family attractions of Camel Creek and Dairyland close by and award-winning vineyards at Camel Valley and Trevibban this is a terrific base for families, couples and friends.
