Bembridge is a much sought-after pretty village on the east of the Isle of Wight and Quiet Corner Cottage is a cosy semi-detached bungalow, perfectly situated just a mile from the beach and a short stroll away from a good selection of shops in the centre of the village.

Tucked down a quiet, private unmade lane, Quiet Corner sits in a tranquil residential area with everything you need walking distance away. The open plan living space is light and bright with a comfortable sitting-area next to the dining-table, ideal for sociable holidays. The kitchen is next to the dining-table so guests can sit and chat whilst the chef cooks dinner! There are two bedrooms at Quiet Corner Cottage, bedroom one has a king-size bed and the added benefit of an en suite shower-room whilst bedroom two has twin beds, ideal for either children or adults. The bathroom has a bath with a hand shower attachment, WC and wash-basin.

To the front of Quiet Corner Cottage, a gravelled area provides handy parking for either one car or two small cars and at the back a delightful large garden is all yours to enjoy. A large lawn provides space for the children and family dogs to let off steam and the patio is a great place to enjoy al fresco dining in the island sun. Quiet Corner is a cosy retreat, ideally situated for all your island adventures.

Bembridge has all you need for a car-free holiday. The village centre has a traditional fishmonger, farm shop, florist and well stocked supermarket as well as Woodfords, a fabulous, island renowned butcher. There are three good pubs in the village, The Old Village Inn is a short walk away with a great selection of ales and its dog-friendly too! There are several take-aways in the village or, if you'd prefer to dine out a good selection of restaurants to choose from.

The beaches around Bembridge are stunning. Made up of sand and shingle, at low tide it is possible to walk over four miles from end to end, and it's dog-friendly year-round. The lifeboat station is quite a spectacle and hard to miss if you are walking along the beach and don't forget to visit the windmill, the only remaining one on the island. Walkers should pull on their walking boots and head along the coast path, with miles of coastline there is plenty to choose from. The walk to St Helens Duver is lovely, taking you past a community of houseboats moored alongside the harbour and then over a causeway.

If you do decide to travel further afield, visit Seaview just a short drive away. A charming seaside village, Seaview has several lovely beaches and a good choice of eateries. Try Lily's Cafe for great freshly brewed coffee, cakes and pastries. Sandwiches are made to order so you can pick up your picnic supplies here and head off to the beach for the day. The Old Fort is delightful, overlooking the Solent it has splendid views and a lovely menu created using local produce and seafood. The Seaview Hotel is another option, with traditional bar food on offer and a more formal dining room for special occasions.

Osborne House near Cowes should be on your holiday 'to do list'. This fascinating place, once the home of Queen Victoria now offers the public the chance to explore the house, extensive gardens and private beach. West Wight is also worth a visit. See the iconic Needles and whilst you are there take a look at Freshwater Bay; with crystal clear waters this beautiful cove is great for kayaking and paddle boarding. However you plan to spend your holiday, Quiet Corner Cottage is the perfect base for all your island adventures.
