If you were looking for cottages like Carpenters Cottage, how about trying these:

Carpenters Cottage is a pretty Grade II Listed cottage full of character and dating back to the 18th Century, situated in the middle of Langore village. It has several low beams and even lower doorways, so be prepared to duck. The sitting/dining-room has a stone fireplace with original cloam oven and old range stove (ornamental only). Ancient wooden stairs (not suitable for the elderly or children) lead to the bedroom, which has a high-vaulted ceiling, timber-framed internal partition wall with exposed original lath and plaster, and a small shower-room. With a well-fitted galley kitchen and two small patios outside, as well as a small enclosed garden around the corner, this is a delightful and unusual cottage. Ideal as a base for exploring both Cornwall and Devon, nearby Launceston, once the old capital of Cornwall, has a range of shopping and leisure attractions. Sandy surfing beaches, sheltered coves and the rugged north Cornwall coast path are just a short drive. Cyclists can hop on the National Cycle Network 327 which links from France through to Launceston and on to the Eden Project at Newmills (a pedestrian access station for Launceston Steam Railway). There are several coarse fisheries, two golf courses and a golf driving range nearby. Craft courses are regularly held at the Cowslip Workshops just half a mile away. Langore has two acres of open access land including a delightful woodland walk and dog-friendly paddock adjacent to the Village Green. If all this sounds too energetic then why not just sit out on the patio and enjoy the peace and tranquility. There is also an additional small garden beside the parking space and a Brodco DaylightSecure storage shed– great for bikes or surfboards.
