A short stroll from the waters of Restronguet Creek, halfway between Truro and Falmouth, this is the ideal location for exploring both north and south coasts, and all points in between.

For walkers, gardeners and those looking for peace and tranquility, beautifully presented Orchard Vean offers wonderfully comfortable single-storey accommodation, perfect for a relaxing and reviving holiday in a delightful setting.

The houses in Penpol meander along the water's edge towards Devoran, where the popular Quay Inn serves delicious locally-sourced food. The Mineral Tramway cycle trail starts nearby and bicycles can be hired locally. Beautiful Trelissick Gardens, a National Trust gem, are just down the road and the King Harry Ferry crosses from here to the Roseland peninsula.

Orchard Vean is all on one level and the high, white painted beamed ceilings and shining woodblock floors give a very spacious feel.

French windows lead from the living-room to the slate and gravelled terrace and large lawned garden, all enclosed by a post and rail fence. The sitting-area has a comfortable sofa and chair, reading lamps and plenty of books, maps and magazines, and the fully equipped kitchen-area has everything you might need. The bedroom, adjoining the shower-room, has a Victorian-style metal bedstead with a luxurious mattress.

A freshly baked cream tea awaits guests on arrival, just one indication of the owners' genuine hospitality. Living on the five acre site with their dog, they carefully respect guests' privacy. There are up to five caravans in a neighbouring orchard during high season, and a bridlepath nearby is used by walkers and the occasional horse rider.
