We had a great holiday, yes the property is slightly dated, however the kitchen was adequate with all the appliances in good working order. We found sitting in the lounge on a stormy night with the fire on, sat in the old school sofa it's was so cosy and comfortable, and so warm. The view was stunning from the conservatory. Coastal walks fantastic 30 seconds from property, breath taking. The enclosed garden is brilliant for dogs. 100 % We will return to the property. No issues at all with the cleanliness of the property....

Great property, comfortable although dated but still nice, fabulous view. Washing machine broke during are stay but brilliant with replacement. Sadly property let down badly by cleanliness and simple essentials.

The positives about this cottage are; the beautiful view. It is outstanding. The conservatory is lovely. It has to be the best feature of this property. I can see why most people would spend all their time there. The TV is big and great to watch. The location is okay, within easy reach of Tintagel and Boscastle but these places have sadly gone down hill since the pandemic. I wish there were more positives. The negatives about this cottage are; it was freezing when we arrived. We struggled to work out the heating. We did in the end but it should have been warm when we arrived and we had to leave the cottage for it to warm up. The huge 5G tower spoils where this cottage is located. The access to the coastal path is not from the front door, you walk towards a small car park and then towards the coast. The shower splashes everywhere, so I would recommend putting towels on the floor. There was no soap or enough washing up liquid (I think these things count). The garden is contained but very small. The driveway is a nuisance if you have a car that is bigger than a mini! Maybe Im not good with spatial awareness but to get out was hard work and there needs to be a mirror on the road so you can see if anything is coming. There is something about this property that is lacking that I can't quite put my finger on. It is dated in some areas but it just doesn't feel cosy, or cared for properly. The kettle does have rust in it, and much of the property could do with an upgrade or at least a sprinkling of love. As we have used Classic Cottages for a number of years now, I would not recommend this property based on all the above. My opinion of course....

We have a split opinion about this cottage, which seems to mirror several other reviews going back over the last year or so. The plus points - the location is fabulous - nice and quiet, really great view from the conservatory over the headland and out to sea. We found it very relaxing sitting in the conservatory and spent most of our time in the cottage sat there admiring the view and watching the cows! There is almost direct access to the coast path with an abundance of walks from the cottage - it's a stunning stretch of coast line and we didn't need to use the car much. The local tea/coffee/biscuits that were provided was a lovely touch and this was most appreciated, thank you. On the down side, the cottage is VERY dated. It really needs some money spent on it to bring it up to modern day standards. The simple addition of a dishwasher, replacement flooring throughout (ideally laminate/amtico for hygiene and cleanliness) and more modern curtains etc. would transform the place. Overall cleaning standards were not great, the bath had a film of scum around the edge and there were a lot of cobwebs in corners and around light fittings etc. Also attention to detail seemed a bit lacking lots of very old leaflets going back 5 years or more, similarly the visitors book ran out 5 years ago, mould on the bathroom blind, very dirty venetian blind in the kitchen, etc. etc. It's such a shame because this place could be fabulous, but as it is, although we loved the area and will certainly return, it will not be to Bossiney View. ...

Thank you so much for your review for Bossiney View. It is one of our more traditional properties and comfortably furnished with great access to the coastal path from the front door! The property does not currently offer a dishwasher as a facility but we have shared this with the owners to take into consideration for the future. We wish that you had raised the cleanliness feedback at the time so that we could investigate but we have of course shared this with them to check. We are glad that you enjoyed your break overall and look forward to welcoming you to another Classic Cottage in the future. Sarah, Customer Support **UPDATE - MAR 2023** The cottage has been refreshed throughout with new flooring, curtains, soft furnishings and sofas. Please see updated photos online....
