Lofty’s Cottage

This could be the absolutely perfect place to stay. Location, views, layout are all superb. Clearly a lot on money was spent on decor, a new kitchen and furnishings some years ago, but the cottage is starting to look rather tired and could do with some improvements. There was also a very strong smell of damp throughout the property, to the extent that we very nearly returned home the next morning. With an abundance of fresh air over few days the smell mostly dissipated, but not completely. There are a number of areas throughout that have damp/mould marks. The cottage could really do with a deep clean and redecoration, superficially it looks good, but closer inspection reveals quite a bit of dust/staining etc.....

We were very happy with this cottage, the views from the garden lounge and main bedroom were spectacular. We appreciated the fact that the owner called us the day after we arrived to check everything was ok. Good size rooms, very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The only thing that could have added to our experience was if the cottage had a BBQ. Cadgwith itself is very sleepy but lovely and the coastal walks were gorgeous. Our son also loved the cottage and he is 9. He loved the fact that the gardens at the back of the cottages all link up so he was able to play football with the kids staying next door at Pericles Cottage. We loved this cottage and location so much, we are coming back again next easter....

This cottage is very cute small but perfectly formed . The photos don’t really do it justice the view from the front garden is just beautiful. The kitchen is really well kitted out lots of useful gadgets . We bought spices and oil with us and food basics . This cottage is perfect for just wondering to Cadgwith and watching the sea . But also very close to Kynance cove so you can get there early and catch the surf . The owner had some helpful ideas for local trips out . We ate at the halpzaion inn which was great and had super views . The cottage was spotless when we arrived and being able to park in the village car park for free all week took out all the headaches of worrying about the car . I thought the cottage was good value for money because it’s very smart inside . The costal paths are amazing near here . Stock up on food and wine in Helston and your sorted . We went to Porthleven for fish and chips very tasty . Cadgwith is a special little place Luckily it’s nicely hidden away . If you have toddlers with you watch the upstairs windows . Thanks Rodney for letting us stay in your lovely cottage what a beautiful part of the UK ... ...

We had a wonderful stay at Lofty’s cottage. Cadgwith is a great place to escape the crowd, relax, hike, enjoy the sea and beautiful landscape of the Lizard peninsula. We will be back!

Lofty's Cottage is in a great location with superb views, especially good at sunrise. We spent a peaceful week in this tranquil and spacious cottage. The garden was lovely - being October we didn't get much use from it but it would be a great place to relax during the summer. We found the owner to be friendly and helpful. Recommended!...
