The cottage was welcoming and rooms spacious. everywhere was spotlessly clean but homely and comfortable. One could sense the history in the walls and beams. The house is well equipped with everything one could possibly need and then some. All linen and towels of the highest quality and there was crockery and cutlery for at least 30 guests. My only issue were two sofas which were a little on the low side as I had a bad back. The owner is replacing these. The housekeeper and owner were very helpful and easy to contact if any info needed .The quirky period charm of the cottage lent a great deal to the ambiance. The grandchildren , all teens, loved the space and the proximity to Goodwick and Fishguard. This latter having an excellent veterinary service as we found when Alfie our kelpie had need of a small procedure. As a base for visiting the area and seeing porpoise and seal, plus sea kayaking and paddle boarding. There's so much to do we couldn't fit it all in. The grounds and garden are vast, varied and well maintained and the scenery is phenomenal. The climbing frame and picnic table an added bonus. We all had the best time and are hoping to go back again next year to do some of the things we couldn't this year and Carngowyil is our first choice. One of the best places we've stayed with Classic Cottages...
