We have stayed in many self catering places but we both agreed that this is probably the best we've ever had. There's plenty of space indoors and out, and the decor is lovely. Comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen were welcome. It's only about 5 miles from Beadnell - a delightful beach - but there are plenty of other fabulous beaches within a short drive as well as plenty of castles and gardens. Alternatively, it's a great place just to sit and enjoy the garden or the local countryside. Having a pub within walking distance that served excellent food was a bonus! And it's dog friendly! Perfect....

We stayed in the cottage for one week in June. We found it to be very spacious, well equipped and reasonably comfortable. It has plenty of parking space at the front and is located within easy walking distance to an excellent pub called the Pack Horse Inn which offers extremely good food and quality beers. One thing to be aware of is the presence of free roaming peacocks around the property which although beautiful to look at they do tend to be quite vocal especially early morning....
