Lovely cosy cottage, nicely furnished with lovely touches of fresh flowers and scones, jam and cream on arrival! In an excellent spot for all facilities within Polperro yet tucked away from the daily tourists .

Lovely picturesque cottage, very handy location for the village. Very clean and tidy and well equipped. Perfect holiday destination.

The cottage was in an excellent location and parking on site was very helpful. The bedding in the rooms, towels etc were of excellent quality. The furnishings downstairs were also fine however the television is exceptionally small and hard to see from the position of the sofa. We also felt that a few lamps would make it cosier (not a complaint just a suggestion!). Not having a table to sit at was also not ideal however i should have read that that was the case on the website. We also really missed having a dishwasher!...

Having never visited Cornwall, this trip was much anticipated. Sadly the cottage was not as expected. Surfaces and carpets were dirty. The outdoor furniture cover was torn, therefore the furniture was grimy and covered in seagull poo. Steps up to seating area are very precarious to navigate, consequently we did not use the area. There is a bus stop terminus across the road, where buses wait every fifteen minutes, they then turn outside the cottage to go to Looe. This is very noisy from the running engines and constant beeping of the buses reversing. Lastly and most importantly, as another reviewer has emphasised, the front door is extremely low. My husband suffered a nasty cut to his head that has only just healed. A small sign saying ‘mind your head’ really isn’t adequate! Really disappointed with the cottage, the cleanliness and the noise. Definitely not tranquil. ...

We were very sorry to hear of your disappointment and we hope that the actions taken to rectify the cleaning concerns as soon as we were aware of them, have shown that feedback is taken seriously, and that Classic Cottages and the owner will do everything possible to help rectify concerns. In addition to the actions taken at the time, the owners are arranging an additional professional carpet clean and replacement of the curtain that was highlighted. Being a traditional Cornish Cottage, it will have its quirks in its layout. They all add to its charm and are things that a lot of people love, but we completely appreciate that these may not suit everyone, so have tried to make the features as clear as we can on the photos and description, and so we are sorry if that was not expected. Whilst the cottage is away from the main hustle and bustle of the village, it is on one of the main routes in, and is certainly not considered to be a quiet rural location, so some traffic noise will be expected. And you are quite right in saying that busses stop opposite the property. This is not something that has been highlighted as causing a particular noise issue in the past, but we will monitor for further feedback on this and add a note to highlight this if needed. Thanks for getting in touch. Classic Customer Support ...
