We had a fantastic mini moon here! On arrival we was greeted by a lucky horse shoes with just married on which was a lovely gesture, inside we were greeted by 2 cards one from the owners and one from Classic Cottages, a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine, this was a lovely touch, having no signal or Internet was also great getting away from the hustle and bustle from everyday life, exploring the grounds which were beautiful and finding the little waterfall was the cherry on top, showering and bathing outside were also fantastic, everything you need is there we loved the quirkiness of everything! overall a unique and amazing stay, intend on returning but staying longer next time, thank you for giving us a memorable mini moon! Our stay at Tawny Owl was nothing less than delightful. We had a last minute plan to spend time close to the lake district, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating to our needs such as later check in/check out times. The treehouse itself is exactly as the photos describe, if not nicer in person, you can tell they really took their time with designing/decorating the place. It's such a beautiful and serene location, a hidden gem for sure. As well as the beauty of the place, the hosts really thought about all the small details that guests would need, such as all necessary barbecue equipment, everything you'd have in your own kitchen, and they even left us a lovely bottle of bubbly to celebrate our anniversary. Overall, this is definitely saved in our favourites for whenever we need to escape the bustling cities. ...

Delightful and quirky, you have no choice but to relax The outside bath and shower were fab. Lovely surprise when we opened fridge as the was milk and a bottle of wine. Phone reception is a little hit and miss so prepare for no signal and hope for best. Will need wellies or good walking boots as was extremely muddy when we stayed (March) around the surrounding wooded area. Lovely little stream running through Will need car/bike if you don’t like walking as it is about 4/5 miles from nearest store and pubs. Keswick is about 15 miles away and full of amazing eateries including a fab Vegan restaurant ...

We did meet one of the owners, who was very pleasant and accommodating, lovely spot to go for utter peace and quiet , with Penrith and Carlisle on your doorstep if you wanted to venture out. Plenty of home comforts, with treats on arrival. Highly recommend!!!!!!...
