This cottage has without doubt the most envied position within St Mawes ..situated in the heart of St.Mawes with all shops and might I say a bakery literally on your doorstop, a beautiful seated outdoor area to take in the ever changing scenery and magnificent harbour . It’s a well equipped kitchen and it’s extremely cosy . Due to this being a very old cottage be prepared for a musty smell each time you enter , they are improving things as new heaters were installed the day we arrived in both bedrooms , sadly the bath is not fit for purpose it has a horrid plastic sucker bath mat covering the sight of lifted enamel , you couldn’t bath in this bath and the mat has to be the most unhygienic thing ever !! Especially after our Covid times ! Lucky for us as a large party travelling with two properties those staying at Manor Cottage were able to bath at the alternate property , not ideal but a make do resolution. Would we stay again .. yes but things need to be changed especially the bath and attention to detail has to be addressed, you cannot expect customers to pay and be given that bath .. such a shame as this could be an Exceptional Cottage . ...

Manor Cottage is a quaint, old fashioned style cottage, set in the spectacular village of St Mawes. It overlooks the harbour and you can sit outside and watch the world go by. It is very clean, comfortable and homely.

The highlight of Manor Cottage is its location on the bustling little harbour and it’s what made us return for a second visit. We loved sitting on the little bench in front of the cottage watching the world go by. There aren’t many holiday cottages that are just paces away from a bakery, a fresh fish stall, a Co op, pub and two beaches! You couldn’t ask for more! The wonderful weather was the icing on the cake and we look forward to our next visit. The four star rating is because of the location....
