As you walk around the Somerset Levels you may glimpse Glastonbury Tor or hear the mysterious booming of a bittern. It's a magical landscape at any time of year and is very popular with bird watchers and natural history lovers.
If you fancy a challenging walk then head to Cheddar Gorge with it's fabulous paths and exhilarating view. It'll take your breath away!

The owners, Linda and Jon, are so friendly and helpful. A great deal of love and attention to detail have been invested in Minstrels. The wet room is a real luxury feature and the use of the roof space is eye catching. It's a really cosy, warm place to stay. We weren't particularly impressed with local pubs fir eating out in the evening. We had far more success using excellent cafes for lunch in Bath, Frome, Beckington and Wells. Wells Cathedral was awe inspiring, especially the library. The Avalon Marshes are quite otherworldly and the wildlife is remarkable. The location was further West than would have been ideal for us fir the main places we intended to visit....

A really lovely stay and a very well appointed cottage. Nice quiet picturesque village and easy to get to surrounding places. Great for exploring the area and even better to get back to the cottage and settle down for the evening!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Minstrels and would recommend it as a comfortable base to explore the Somerset levels (more interesting than we expected) together with the pretty villages and hills nearby. The treats on arrival were better than any we have ever had!...
