This is a fantastic place to stay. If you want to explore Pembrokeshire but want peace and quiet then this is perfect. It is well furnished and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay there. It is lovely and warm but should the weather allow there is an outside area which overlooks green fields. This particular location will be ideal for anyone who has an interest in WW2, the RAF and 1940's period. A great deal of time and effort has gone into recreating this atmosphere. Remember, this was an operational RAF building and you can really feel this but, in a good way. Warm, comfortable and quiet with plenty of information, pictures and photographs explaining what this base was and how it contributed to the defence of our country in a way which is often overlooked and almost forgotten. If you get offered the chance to look at the other parts of the building, which is a work in progress, then take it. We would highly recommend this holiday cottage. ...

The museum that the owner has , and is still expanding, is very interesting showing how early radar helped in the World War 2. He happily showed us around and gave us a feeling of what it must have been like at the time it was in use.

This is a fantastic property, well equipped, in a great location for local beaches. The fascinating history reflected in the decor and furnishings was an added bonus

Fascinating property in a great location for visiting Dale and the various Havens. Really enjoyed looking at the artwork, the information about the history of the building and the books (which were a bit different from the usual holiday-cottage reading material). In particular, Eileen Younghusband's book about her WAAF experiences during WW2 really brought to life how the different aspects of the radar system worked together - and it was refreshing to read an 'ordinary' female perspective on life during wartime. The location is very peaceful - the Officers' Mess and Officers' Quarters are in two separate buildings which isn't immediately obvious from the photos on the website. ...

We stayed at the Officers' Mess two years ago and loved it so much that we decided to try the Officers' Quarters this time. We were not disappointed. The photos do not do the property justice. As with the Officers' Mess , the owners have managed to capture the feel of the time so authentically. The property is spacious, well-eqipped and we were given a lovely warm welcome by our hosts. The outdoor space was fantastic with areas to suit any time of day and we highly recommend using the hammocks. The location is perfect for exploring the local area and we particularly enjoyed our evening stroll down to St Brides Beach. Other high-lights were Dale, Marloes Sands and the lovely cafe there Runwayskiln. Infact the area had such an impact on us that since our first visit here we have actually moved to Pembrokeshire from Cornwall. Lovely property in a particularly stunning area. ...
