The Cowshed

Beautiful cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful location. On the borders of Somerset, Devon and Dorset so great for getting around. Lovely pub The Windwhistle 5 mins drive away and Tesco down the road.

A fantastic property which was welcoming from the time we arrived to when we left . It was comfortable ,very clean and very well equipped .The level of care in the design and furnishing has to be mentioned coupled with the exceptional welcome pack of Tea, coffee , flowers ,cake and biscuits. We have used this website to visit various places and our requirements are for two bedrooms and two loos. This cottage was perfect for our needs and the charges considered very reasonable

We had a lovely October half term break at the Cowshed. Beautifully converted and decorated barn conversion with lovely views in rural location but only a few minutes drive from Chard and it’s facilities. Garden is private, secure for the dog and prettily lit at night. Beautiful ‘hidden’ en-suite shower rooms and spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. There was a storm while we were away so we hunkered down for the day (daughter’s birthday) and enjoyed the comfort of the property. We had a lovely walk around Chard reservoir as well as visiting our favourites - Lyme Regis, Charmouth beach, Beer and Sidmouth. Would like to stay at the Cowshed again and have already recommended to friends....
