Straw cottage was a very quirky cottage. Very private . The cottage had everything you could need. Was very clean. Loved the log burner and the hot tub after a long day sightseeing was a great bonus . A 10 min walk into the village which has a great pub fish and chip shop and a village shop. Straw cottage is enclosed in its own little private grounds which was great for our dog to play. The owners home is just at the side and was very friendly. But you don't feel overlooked. All in all a lovely place worth staying at ...

We had a fabulous few days at Straw Cottage. We found it easily following the directions sent in advance and felt very welcome. It is a lovely quiet location but with easy access to explore North Devon. The village was unknown to us before but is complete with a pub, store and chip shop. We highly recommend....

We had a wonderful stay at Straw Cottage, it was just perfect for the break we needed. Inside the cottage is spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and has lovely character and features. The hot tub is fantastic and the clever lighting provides a lovely atmosphere. We met the owner, David, who was very welcoming and friendly but left us to our own devices. We developed a routine of heading out for the day exploring, returning for late afternoons in the hot tub and then cosying up in front of the wood-burner - bliss! Our dog loved it too (especially the jar of treats!). We'd love to come back in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Straw Cottage....
