We really enjoyed our stay at Straw Cottage, the garden is lovely and quiet and our dog loved the area! Yes it is out in the sticks somewhat but that was expected from the description so no problem. We had a really lovely and relaxing stay at Straw Cottage. There was plenty to explore on our doorstep, we had wonderful trips to Clovelly, Appledore and Westward Ho! all within a short drive. The cottage itself was a delight, we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a BBQ on the terrace, a hot tub most days, and lots of cosy evenings in by the fire, particularly enjoyable with fish & chips from the local pub (the best we've had). Wonderful quirky property, with all the amenities, Hot tub was clean and fantastic for relaxing in, If you visit Heartland Abbey, the food and service at the Kings Arms Heartland was great and excellent value for money.
