Mrs Williams July 2020

Very pleasant week at Kinsman Cottage. Friendly, welcoming owners including their lovely dog Louis! It is well equipped and comfortable, we made a lot of use of the sunroom with its lovely views across the valley. Secure garden that our dog appreciated too. Lots of lovely walks from the doorstep, although be prepared for lots of hills (this is North Cornwall after all!) Good local pubs doing food & all managing the social distancing rules well....

The cottage and owners were great, the customer service from the company was disappointing.

Fabulous! Cottage is well equipped, clean and cosy on cold winter nights. Exceeded expectations. We met Jo, the owner, who was on hand if required but leaves you to your own devices - just how we like it. Thoroughly recommended!

We can't recommend Kinsman Cottage highly enough. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, and equipped with everything you could need. I normally take washing-up-liquid, soap, toilet roll, washing tablets etc. but I needn't have bothered, it was all there to make our visit as convenient as possible. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the enclosed garden was perfect as we didn't have to worry about the dog running around outside. The sunroom is a delight in the morning to sit and have a cup of tea; there is a pergola/seating area at the bottom of the garden to catch the sun, literally everything has been thought of to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The position of the cottage is perfect, you can walk up the hill to 'The Napoleon', the food is lovely and the staff friendly. If you go down the hill you have several choices, all were good. The food at the Cobweb is very good, but we tended to prefer The Wellington as it had more space for the dog. The cottage has private parking which made it easy to enjoy going to all the many places there were to visit in the area, knowing you have somewhere to park when you return. There are too many great places to visit to mention, but our favourite was St Nectans Glen, an enchanting walk to visit a stunning waterfall. When we arrived the owners came down to meet us, they stressed that anything we needed we just had to contact them (they live above). They left us alone, but when we needed them to sort out the heating for us, they couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. They are by far the most welcoming owners we have encountered. Although they haven't lived there long, they have a wealth of information about the area, where to walk, to eat etc. We will definitely be visiting again as there are too many things to do in a week and without doubt we will stay at Kinsman Cottage - that's if there are any vacancies as I am sure it will be ever more popular....

We had a lovely stay at Kinsman Cottage. Jo & Nigel were very friendly and so helpful with advice on local attractions and looking after anything we required. The cottage itself is in a peaceful location but ideally situated just a short walk to the harbour, pubs & restaurants. The cottage is cosy and homely with all the amenities you need; a real home from home. We’d definitely recommend staying here....
