This has to be the best holiday we have ever had…Captain Blake’s Retreat was fabulous, the accommodation and the view were exceptional! Waking up to the noise of the sea was so special, sipping drinks and watching the sun go down with a view to die for! A fabulous location, the vehicular approach to the property is via quite a steep and long narrow concrete track which has a few nasty potholes. Classic Cottages say it isn’t suitable for low slung vehicles, and I think an SUV / small 4 x4 is ideal. Once parked there is a walk over a coastal path to the property, which makes it most suitable for physically mobile. The Retreat is well appointed, clean and comfortable. The remoteness, privacy and tranquility gave us the most relaxing week we have ever had, which combined with the stunning views has led us to book for a return trip next year. ...
