A very comfortable and well fitted out cottage.

This cottage was simply amazing and surpassed our expectations. The furnishings and decoration was of the highest standard. Everything you could possibly need had been thought of. The cottage was spotlessly clean and immaculate - brilliant in these “COVID” times. The welcome phone call from Sam the day before arrival, along with contact during our stay and a little card on our last day was really kind. Such a lovely lady. And a lovely bottle of bubbly was waiting for us in the fridge! A perfect place to stay. Great location. Easy to get to nearby towns. Great pub and local shops just down the road. I have already started recommending Agatha Cottage as a great place to stay. ...

Excellent cottage in a great location to access all of South Devon. The owner Sam greeted us on arrival and gave us many recommendations one of which was The Shoals Cafe on the Lido (in Brixham) where we saw the sunset whilst eating dinner on our last night. Nothing was too much trouble for Sam who made us feel very welcome. We visited Brixham, Berry Head point, Paignton, Totnes, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Greenway House which is a 5 minute drive from the cottage. We also stumbled across Hope Cove which was beautiful. There are many beaches too within a short distance from the cottage. Parking outside the cottage wasn't an issue even though there isn't a driveway, there was always a space directly outside to cottage and being in a small hamlet this felt very safe. Overall an excellent cottage with everything you need and is in the perfect location. Thank you Sam for a great stay. ...

The cottage was quietly located in a small hamlet away from the crowds, yet it only took a few minutes to drive to Brixham. Sam the host, was on hand to help with local recommendations and made us feel very at home during our stay at the lovely Agatha Cottage....

The style, quality and comfort of this cottage is very hard to beat. The location is fantastic too, walking distance to Brixham as well as the river Dart, which is simply beautiful. So many lovely walks, restaurants, and places to visit, without having to go everywhere by car, and the beautiful retreat of Agatha cottage to enjoy on return. We stayed a week and could have done so much more. Something we weren't sure about until we arrived was parking - there is free street parking right outside the cottage and being in a little village it feels very safe - so no worries there. Recommendations: The Anchorstone Cafe at Dittisham - incredible seafood with a view to die for, Torbay Cycle hire (electric bikes too!), Cockington Country Park, Berry Head nature reserve, The shoal Cafe at the Lido (spot Dolphins swimming in the bay!) endless walks, pretty coves and beautiful beaches. Be sure to visit Dartmouth and Kingswear - hire a boat, go kayaking or paddle boarding and, for a treat, eat at the Sea Horse restaurant. Best restaurant experience - Gather in Totnes - sublime. Totnes is also a lovely place to visit and lots of interesting shops and art galleries. ...
