The Shepherds hut is a beautiful retreat, superbly equipped and certainly more luxurious than we expected from a 'hut'! The hosts are friendly and welcoming without being interfering or over-eager. they are more than happy to explain any part of the hut that might be unusual to some - the hobbit log burner, the induction hob, the camping toilet, the hot-tub! There are a few local places to visit which are definitely worthwhile, so I'd certainly stay again without hesitation....

We had the most wonderful time at Crannaford, the accommodation was everything we were looking for and more, the hosts were incredibly generous and welcoming providing numerous added extras that were a lovely touch, and being available if anything was needed. All we needed to do was turn up and relax. We've stayed in many similar places and there are always a few disappointments but this place exceeded our expectations. We'd highly recommend it!...

a beautiful and tranquil setting. We were not in the least bothered by noise which we had been told might be possible from the nearby solar panels. It was wonderful to wake up to birdsong each morning and to see so many varieties of wildlife literally from my bed. Our hosts were welcoming, an excellent introduction to all the interior workings of the shepherds hut and a lovely welcome package of Prosecco, strawberries, bread, milk, butter cream and biscuits. We were left in peace but knew our hosts were nearby to deal with any problems - of which there were none! Very happy with this break and would definitely recommend....
