Treforda Cottage

This cottage was not the usual style we pick, but we were soooo! glad that we did. The cottage was the best equipped that we have ever stayed in (we have been using classic cottages every year for about the last 10years) it was warm, cosy and so clean. The host really takes pride in this cottage and the welcome treats were such an unexpected surprise. It was in a great location too, loads to do within only 115 to 20 mins drive away. We would book a stay again without any hesitation....

Liz and Jon were perfect hosts on their wonderful farm. The farm itself is beautifully quiet yet a short drive to the A39. With paths mowed through the fields, baby barn owls above the cottage to watch each evening, a friendly cat who would pop by to say hello and a holiday home with everything (and more) you could possibly need. We were blessed with wonderful weather, but the cottage was so cosy I'm sure it would also be a lovely place to shelter from the elements....

Liz and John were welcoming hosts with lots of nice touches - the welcome pack of goodies was very much appreciated. The outside gardens are lovely with plenty of space to relax or play games with the children. The outside furniture gives Treforda an added dimension for BBQ's and outdoor eating which the family took advantage of. We would recommend Treforda and would like to return. The location and wonderful beaches within a short drive make the cottage an ideal base for a family holiday....

We have just had a lovely week staying in Treforda Cottage. On arrival the cottage was absolutely spotless and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, even stuff for baking if you fancy it! Liz called beforehand to check where we wanted the cot to be set up and if we’d like the stair gate so that was ready for us when we arrived. We loved the beautiful bath, the cosy living room, beautiful gardens and grounds, the fresh herbs growing by the front door and the Barn Owl family nesting in the roof. Everything in the cottage made this a perfect holiday. It is located a couple of minutes drive from the A39 so gives great access along the coast. We ventured as far as the Eden project (1hr drive) but there is loads to do within a shorter distance, including an amazing range of beaches, historic villages, nice towns and the coastal footpath. We would recommend Treforda Cottage if you are looking for somewhere peaceful and tranquil but with access to plenty of places to explore. This cottage is a little gem. We had a relaxing week but it was so nice we decided to stay for a few more days. Clean and warm, one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed at.
