We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday despite the unreliable weather. It was good to get back to the cottage in the evening and relax. The kitchen was well appointed with everything that we needed, so we could cook on occasions too. The area is lovely and there are lots more for us to see. The residents in the village were very friendly and made us feel welcome and we would certainly use the cottage again. We did have an issue with the heating control as the weather changed, but we were able to contact the owners direct who were very friendly and were able to advise us what to do. My stay at The Old Post Office was a much needed retreat and the house exceeded my expectations.... This is a beautifully appointed cottage in a picturesque village in Dartmoor with a pub and shop a few minutes stroll away. The magic of Hay Tor and Hound Tor were a fabulous short hike away and how lucky we were to enjoy such glorious weather too. I felt looked after by the owners with everything thought of for a relaxing stay. The master bedroom and its en-suite are simply stunning and the kitchen set up does allow for social cooking with a nice glass of something chilled and fizzy. As for the view of the church behind the cottage - wow! Everything was perfect. Thank you to the owners for such a wonderful retreat!...

A wonderful large cottage in an idyllic village location with decor and fittings to a very high, modern standard. The air con was also a very pleasant surprise, given the high temperatures when we visited in mid July 2021! Thoroughly recommended.
