The cottage is exceptionally well furnished and looked after. Only slight difficulty for us as a family with grown up children the beds/rooms on top floor are very compact. We did however love the cottage.

Thanks so much for reviewing The Old Post Office and it's great to hear you had a lovely holiday overall. The owners of the cottage have tried to offer a flexibility of beds to try to accommodate all group types and sizes - there are 2 cosy standard double bedrooms on the top floor with another double bedroom accessed from bedroom 3 (another standard double) along with the super-king on the ground floor. An extremely comfortable and tastefully refurbished cosy old house in a thriving village on the edge of Dartmoor. Great for walkers and those who enjoy a convivial village atmosphere.

Enjoyed our stay, however, on arriving we were surprised to find no welcome details or small supplies/local produce. Unusual considering we have stayed at cheaper properties and had this provided. Plus there is a fantastic shop in the village supplying local produce. Certain kitchen items were not clean including stained tea towels, lipstick stained glasses and dirty crockery. On the whole the property is in a lovely location and does everything you require of it. For the price, I believe, it’s set up more like an Airbnb and missing the home comforts associated with a luxury holiday cottage. ...
