We had a wonderful weeks holiday in this beautiful property which has such wonderful facilities and is in a wonderful location - it could not have been more perfect.

Very comfortable property. Magnificent views. Large house but cosy too

Plenty of space for children to run free. High quality and as advertised. Close to Dartmouth via steam train ride and lovely beaches close by. Feels like it’s in France it’s so beautiful.

Lovely views and riverside location. Dogs need to be on the lead and supervised at all times in the garden though as wild cherries lying on the ground are a risk to their health if crunched and swallowed.

Our initial impressions on arrival were of a beautiful house in a stunning location. The view to the estuary is wonderful. Inside, the house is spacious and ideal for large groups however we were then faced with numerous cleanliness and maintenance issues which you would not expect from this standard of property and price. The annex is very sweet but the bathroom was dirty and damp with broken bath side panel, mould on the ceiling and mildew grouting. It needs refurbishing. We were most shocked to discover the ceptic tank overflowing so could not use lower section of the garden - keeping a 4 year old away from it. This is a beautiful house in a beautiful location but we were all shocked and disappointed by the issues we encountered with cleanliness and maintenance. I hope the designated property manager checks this property again soon before anyone else is as disappointed us we were. ...

Thank you so much for your comments. Meadowcliff is indeed a beautiful house and very spacious, so ideally suited to a family break. We were so sorry that you experienced an issue in the garden - the septic tank was emptied just a couple of months ago so isn't full but there does appear to be a problem with a pipe that means one area of the lawn has been affected. An engineer is booked to investigate and resolve the issue in the next couple of weeks, but we very much regret any impact on your stay. Your feedback on the annexe bathroom is also welcomed. The owners have asked us to apologise for any disappointment and have confirmed that they will be assessing the wear and tear here with a view to refreshing the area as soon as possible.
