Stable cottage was more than we expected, good location ,fantastic amenities and exactly as described if not even better ! The owners were attentive ,but not in any way intrusive..and as for their dog…Ginny,we could easily have been arrested for dog napping! We will definitely be back next year ,but for longer ….that for us says it all Thank you to all concerned Chris and Mel ...

Mrs Brown June 2022

This was a lucky find. Chosen simply because our week had to end on 24th June to dovetail with a trip to Peppa Pig world! (We live a long way North so East Devon was near!) We all liked the place very much. Two bathrooms, huge kitchen diner between bedrooms and sitting room. Summer house up the large garden, a hen run big enough for a builder to put up a pair of semis, sheep baaing, the train to and from Exeter rattling past at intervals, just lovely. We had "changeable"weather. Wind so strong you could hardly walk, then showers and sunny intervals set in, then finally the mother of all storms in Exeter. Our star visit was to Forde Abbey, free to Historic Houses members. Montacute (NT) was a disappointment, Beer was the place we went to twice, each time having a sandwich down at the beach cafes. Wish we were there now....

Lovely rural location but in very easy reach of Honiton for shopping, and beaches in Devon and Dorset. (Lyme regis too busy in school holidays, but Charnmouth beach great for families with a river that children can play safely in, sand and rockpools. Safe for swimming. Plenty of parking, though take cash or download the parking app before you go as phone reception v poor). A garage selling basics 3 minute car journey away from cottage. Lovely eggs from Sarah's hens left for us, plus a bottle of wine in the fridge which was a lovely surprise. Lots of nice places to eat, we recommend The Tuckers arms (portions huge!) and The Little shop of Seasons in Hontion for a fabulous cream tea and possibly the best scones we have ever eaten. Very spacious house for 4 people, huge and very well equipped kitchen/diner. Also 3 toilets, both bedrooms ensuite. Comfy beds. Lovely view from house into garden, and we sat out most evenings....

Mr Anderson March 2022

An excellent cottage in a great location. It is spacious, well appointed, and very easy to settle into. The extra touches by the generous hosts were greatly appreciated. We especially enjoyed the garden, with its open views. The bank of primroses was stunning, and the summerhouse is a great place for tea and a sit in the sun. We hope to become "regulars" here!...
