This house is absolute stunning, Steph has thought of everything you would need. The quality of furnishings is amazing. The beds were so comfortable as was the sofas. The farm was so good to looking around and Steve let us watch the new calves being fed. It was such a week away, our dogs were living there best lives...running in the garden. Waking up to the stunning views and cows daily was so lovely. The cake we had made for us was delicious so much so we ordered another! Thank you so much for a very relaxed week xx...

Great Ash Barn is a wonderful place to stay. Off the beaten track but everything you need for a relaxing peaceful stay. The open plan layout was great. All the kitchen equipment you need for cooking a meal is provided. Lovely welcome basket from the friendly owners who live on the farm next door. Quiet countryside walks from the cottage. Our dog loved watching the ducks, hens, cows and rabbit every day. We collected eggs from the hens. We had a lovely holiday here. Lots of places to visit in the area but be mindful beaches are an hours drive away. ...

Great property in a beautiful location and with lovely hosts. Our holiday break was perfect and it was particularly good for our dogs due to the safe and secure fenced garden, surrounding countryside and the fantastic doggy shower! Wonderful in every way....

Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the rush of everyday life. A lovely property, well equipped, comfortable with countryside views. The welcome basket was lovely too, local produce which was a real treat, as well as homemade cake! Steph and Steve were great hosts, friendly and welcoming and allowing our two boys to help feed the lambs and calves as well as ploughing the field were real treats! Will definitely be rebooking for next year. It is perhaps worth noting that for some considering Great Ash Barn it is relatively remote and accessed via a number of narrow (ish) lanes. To get on to main roads you could add an extra 15-20 mins to your journey. Follow instructions provided to the property, not the sat nav!! (However, this did not bother us and added to the holiday, and adds to a true get away feel). ...

Thanks so much for recommending. We're delighted you loved this well equipped cottage on a working farm. How lovely your children had the chance to help feed the lambs and calves. We agree, Great Ash Barn is perfectly tucked away from the rush of everyday life and usually only a 10 minute drive to the main road. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. A beautifully presented cottage facing open farmland that you are welcome to walk around. Children can pet the animals and see the workings of the farm at conveniently booked times. Hosts are kind ,thoughtful and attentive without being intrusive. Loved breakfasting whilst watching the ducks, hens ,lambs and rabbits scurry around…whilst we provided amusement for the cattle! A very relaxing holiday enjoyed by all….including our nervous rescue dog. A must for those of us that need to recharge our batteries engulfed in the beauty of nature....
