This is one of the best holiday cottages that we have used. Some places use poorer quality furnishings and equipment that are just not up to the rigours of letting, but here everything has been installed of good quality, giving the items a longer life, and a more pleasurable use for the renter. We loved our stay in Lake Cottage. We had daily visits from the peahen which was lovely. The setting is beautiful and provides a great base for exploring the Island.

The house is part of the private Barton Manor estate which made it feel like going back in time to a more leisurely lifestyle. The house and grounds are amazing. It makes a very quiet and peaceful holiday in fabulous surroundings. This would definitely be the property we went back to on the island....
