Absolutely lovely cottage, really homely and comfy! Perfect location and the patio is a total sun trap!

Can’t wait to re visit!

Thank you for a perfect stay, loved it!

This is a comfortable cottage perfectly positioned for the beach and coastal walks. Fabulous views when one wakes in the morning!

This property has the most stunning views. St Mawes is a lovely, peaceful village and the estuary and beaches are perfect for paddle boarding and other water sports. We would definitely stay in Laurel Cottage again.

Laurel Cottage is fantastically located and photographs beautifully but book with caution. We felt the description of the house and the photos did not quite match up to the reality. We did enjoy our stay but the house is very much in need of investment and TLC. The paving stones in the front garden are loose, the mat at the front door worn down and threadbare, the house was cold and damp when we first entered and smelled of damp throughout, the back kitchen glass roof and back garden were covered in moss and algae - needs a good clean, the towel radiators do not work, the rack for drying clothes was small and rusty and so it took a long time for washing to dry (there is no tumble dryer), many of the sash windows need repair as they don’t open properly, the front door knob is very stiff and has been sited too close to the door frame so you need to be careful not to scrape your knuckles. The bedrooms are also quite small and there is limited wardrobe space so would be a bit of a squeeze for 6 adults. However if you don’t mind any of that and just want a knock about house in a good location then it’s the house for you! ...
