Would like your comments on the 2 properties that smelt damp

Thank you for your comments. We have been in touch directly in response to your feedback. Alicia's Barn is a traditional barn conversion which is unlikely to have a modern damp proof course. With the hot, humid weather conditions we've had this summer and the sudden downturn into colder weather in the last few weeks, this could be the type of property more likely to experience some condensation and perhaps a damp feeling to the air on occasion. We do recommend that properties similar to this are well ventilated and in some cases a dehumidifier installed to help with air circulation. Bryony, Customer Support ...

This is an attractive property, but smells quite badly of damp.

Thanks so much for your comments and we're sorry you've had this experience. We've let the owners know and asked them to investigate at the next changeover - thank you. Bryony, Customer Support

Very comfortable barn with added extras for the children to play with (box of toys, DVDs and videos). Clean and tidy with nice John Lewis towels!!! Not a great location for take aways but we should've researched it better. Plus not many beaches close by where dogs aren't allowed. But cottage was great!...

Thanks for taking the time to review Alicia's Barn - we're pleased that you enjoyed your time at the barn, and that the children were kept well entertained! Beaches at Portscatho and St Mawes have dog restrictions in high season, and huge Carne Beach has a byelaw requiring dogs to be kept on leads during this time too. www.cornwallbeaches.org.uk is a useful site for finding out details of all local beaches. Lovely location, just a short walk to my favourite beach and just a little further to a great lunch at the hut
