The Garden Cottage

So lucky our stay at the Garden Cottage coincided with some fabulous early spring weather - but even if it had been pouring with rain or bitterly cold, we would have have been happy just to be in this delightful home. The 'cottage' is a perfect escape: so comfortable, thoughtfully equipped, it is private and secluded, has fabulous views, and, best of all, its design really adds to a feeling of relaxation, peace and tranquility - letting the garden and light flood in, it really is very special, and Jude and Tom are the most kind and welcoming hosts. Ideally placed for great walking, sights, and some great places to eat out locally. We particularly enjoyed The Shore in Penzance - a unique dining experience, the Victoria Inn in Perranuthnoe - which combined with scenic walking from Marazion to Prussia Cove was a treat, and the Porthminster Beach Cafe in St Ives. The Garden Cottage is a beautifully designed modern house finished to a very high specification, and is by some way the best one bedroom holiday accommodation we've ever booked. Both the bedroom and living area are wonderfully spacious, as are the kitchen's work areas and the dining table. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom, particularly the shower, very well appointed. We could imagine, had we not been staying in November, making good use of the balcony, deck, and garden areas, which were well furnished and easily accessed via several patio doors. The views of the garden, and more distant panoramas over Mounts Bay, were beautiful and conducive to relaxation. Heating was effective and easily adjusted. Tom and Jude are friendly and considerate hosts, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The house's situation is perfect for exploring the whole of West Penwith, whether on foot, cycle, or by car, and the parking is very convenient. In summary, we haven't enjoyed a week away more for a very long time. And if you like Nepalese food, the Taj Mahal in Penzance is 10 minutes away and equally good!...

We stayed for five nights and were more than pleased with the standard of accommodation .Everything we needed for our stay was there. Peaceful, with a lovely garden and fabulous views towards Marizion and St Michaels Mount. We had a great time and will be back !...

Fantastic stay at Garden Cottage as always. Already looking forward to next time.

This was our third visit to this gem of a place - we never tend to go back to the same place more than once but having found The Garden Cottage four or five years ago, we were totally blown away by the standard of the accommodation and the lovely owners who have created this beautiful house. We love staying here so much that we've just booked for a fourth time! ...
