Somerset is a beautifully varied county. This view across the levels, with Glastonbury Tor in the distance, is taken from a vantage picnic point at the top of the Mendips.
The north Somerset coast is an easy drive to the west. This is the boardwalk at Weston-super-Mare.

Comfortable small cottage in a fairly peaceful position. Some occasional aircraft noise from Bristol Airport (which is quite nearby). Seymour Arms in Blagdon (2 miles) excellent pub food and friendly.

A very comfy, pleasant place to stay. Great facilities and lovely quiet location. Just a short way down a single track lane and once there, completely peaceful. Local walks to a pub in Rickford, Blagdon Lake and Burrington Ham. Wells and Glastonbury easy to drive to. Perfect! No WiFi but good internet via mobile phones in the cottage. Really enjoyable holiday. Flowers, a cake and tea drinking facilities to welcome us on arrival - lovely! Our third Classic Cottage stay, in different locations, and we would be reluctant to stay in other companies cottages now. ...

Peaceful retreat in a lovely part of the world, and within easy reach of most of North Somerset's attractions. A very comfortable cottage, and a delight to come back to at the end of the day. Good for dog walking too!
