This is the entrance to Rosemary Lane. Lane Cottage is off a tiny square with private parking at the end of the lane.
The River Barle flows through Dulverton - there are some lovely walks alongside it.
Exmoor is as beautiful in the Autumn as it is in Summer. Pack your walking boots and take a long hike - perhaps to have lunch at a cosy pub somewhere......
The ancient clapper bridge, of Tarr Steps is just a few miles from Dulverton. Have a beautiful walk along the river and stroll across this historic monument.
Walk, ride or drive across Exmoor and you are almost bound to see the charismatic Exmoor ponies. This Stallion was quite a poser.
Exmoor has quite a few Red Deer tucked into the coombes and up on the hills. You just have to find them.......
Wimbleball Lake is nearby - for lovely lakeside walks and a range of watersports to enjoy.

Excellent location in lovely village. Dulverton has all the necessary facilities - without being over busy or touristy. It is within easy reach of all parts of Exmoor and the north Somerset coast. Thanks so much for taking the time to review the cottage. The heart of this lovely little town obviously dates back far before it was usual to travel by car, and so there are some narrow streets and occasionally tight turns on the approach which may prove challenging to drivers of larger vehicles, but undoubtedly adds to it's charm.
