Portreath beach is only a few minutes' drive from the cottage.
Perranporth beach, a little further up the coast.
Porthtowan beach is also just a short drive from Kernel's Barn.
The secure bike store is very handy if you want to bring your own bikes with you, alternatively you can hire from the centre next door.

Lovely, well equipped & comfortable cottage. Quiet but excellent location for exploring southern Cornwall. Plenty to do in vicinity & great beaches nearby, especially Chapel Porth.

Cosy cottage, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were on a weeks surfing holiday and ideally placed for good breaks at Fistral or Gwithian. Tried Portreath and Porthtowan but either totally blown or dumping. If your surfing Gwithian near the lighthouse watch out for the rip. Nice to come home to a warm homestead every night and being greeted by two amazingly friendly dogs made us very happy. Sally is lovely, not in your face like some owners but said hi and there if you need her....

Beautiful, spotless and well maintained. Everything included that you will possibly need for a lovely comfortable stay. Peaceful countryside location but close to beaches and main routes to explore Cornwall. Great hosts make you feel very welcome along with their friendly animals. Couldn't find fault with a thing (and trust me when I say that I am fussy haha)...... Loved it!!...

Comfortable and cozy cottage, very clean and quiet which is perfect located for discovering Cornwall. Two wonderful beaches reachable in 5 minutes by car, perfect for swimming, bodyboarding and surfing. St. Ives, Falmouth, Perranporth and Newquay are reachable within 30-40 minutes. The owner of the cottage are really nice, sympathetic and always helpful. We can recommend the cottage....
