Steps lead from the garden, directly down to the beach. (Please note the steps are steep, so for those less mobile, you can reach the beach walking along the road).

The traditional seaside town of Looe- the setting of TVs Beyond Paradise
Mount Edgcumbe country park is well worth a visit.
The historic house at Mount Edgcumbe.
The pretty twinned villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are along the headland.
The picturesque fishing village of Polperro.
Portwrinkle is a short drive away.
A footpath winds its way down the cliff to wonderful Long Sands below Tregantle Fort.

We stayed at Sundown for a family gathering over Christmas. The house worked well for all three generations and the setting was wonderful. This is somewhere that we would definitely consider returning to.

As always, our complete trust in Classic Cottages was upheld. A really excellent location, suiting our needs perfectly. Lovely spacious house, great garden providing plenty of space for the three generations of family. Good local pub, store and deli/restaurant. With the beach and rock-pools being at the bottom of the garden there was very little need to travel very far. A perfect choice. Wish we'd had longer !!...
