Farmyard setting without the agriculture! Comfortable, cosy and perfect location for exploring Shaftesbury area the surrounding area.

We had a fantastic four night break here. We were very happy with the cottage. It has a well designed layout, high quality finish, quality furnishings and had everything we needed. Beautiful quiet location, warm, welcoming house, comfortable beds, I could go on.......it was lovely!...

Excellent hide-away and well equipped and maintained.
Mrs Foreman February 2015
This is a well-proportioned property that is an ideal size for two couples or a small family. Set in an ideal location for exploring Dorset, the barn provides a great rural retreat that is only minutes away from the historic town of Shaftesbury with its good range of eateries as well as the famous Gold Street. Equally accessible are Stonehenge, Old Wardour Castle, Monkey World and Longleat. For those wanting to visit the coast although the distance is not too far, the road systems mean that a journey of 30 to 40 miles can take up to an hour and a half! Having said that, the Jurassic Coast is well worth the effort of the drive. We certainly enjoyed walking miles on the coastal path on a brilliant blue sky, golden sun February day. Guests at the barn will enjoy the rural setting, the early morning visits from the raucous fowl, and the great views of the gently rolling hills. With the woodburner ablaze, evenings are guaranteed to be comfortable and we certainly enjoyed basking in its warmth after long days of walking....
