You are welcome to use this part of the owner's garden which leads to a beech wood, especially useful if your four-legged friend needs to stretch their legs! The garden is accessed via 5 steps.

What a great cottage. Jill was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The delicious cake was much appreciated! Her garden, generously open to visitors, is wonderful and is the start of a couple of walks - up on to the moor, or through woods to Islington village. Nearby Haytor rocks and the granite railway are amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. ...

The owners, Jill and Dave (Duffy) were very welcoming and friendly when we first arrived and helped us with local information. Lovely area, cottage comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is gorgeous. Very cosy and clean, with just about everything needed provided. It also had a lovely private garden with plenty of seating to enjoy the nicer weather. It was a bonus to be able to do some lovely walks direct from the cottage....

Beam Ends is a very comfortable cottage. Well presented with everything you could need. Owners are very friendly, offering advice on places to visit and condolences on the weather ! Easy access for walks on Dartmoor and not too far from coastal towns. Several good pubs nearby, including the Rock Inn a few doors down which is lovely for a special treat. Would highly recommend....
