Absolutely loved our stay at Popplestone. The cottage was just what we wanted and was beautiful in every way from the cream tea on arrival to the views to cozy nights in in front of the log burner. The Simmonds family are very charming welcoming hosts, as are their two delightful hounds. Arriving to a freshly baked Devon cream tea, fresh eggs, bread and milk were a lovely touch. Thank you. We loved seeing the horses in the field opposite and having the privilege of meeting a five day old Dexter calf. The view is indeed very lovely and on a clear day the hills of Dartmoor are on the distant horizon....
