The highlight of Westward are clearly the views, down the river towards St Mawes and beyond, and the blissfully peaceful setting. Very easy to sit out on the balcony for hours looking at the scenery and watching any activity on the river be it the boats or the herons. The layout of upstairs is ideal for groups, very social environment with comfy lounge seating, a large dining table and a superbly fitted kitchen. All the bedrooms are just practical in comparison. The garden needed a bit of upkeep when we stayed, but nothing too drastic, and is dog friendly and more importantly secure. The gated access on to river is a bonus, lovely going down at early morning or dusk. Perfect location for walking, with numerous routes into Portscatho and easy access for St Anthony’s Head. Would we go again? Absolutely! ...
