A lovely, tastefully decorated and well equipped apartment with a stunning view of Carbis Bay. We very much enjoyed sitting out on the deck and enjoying the views and the sound of the sea.

We have been to the Mermaids Purse for a number of years now and always call it our second home. We have a rule of thumb that if you cannot stay in a property or hotel up to the standard of your own home then we stay at home! The Mermiads Purse is just splendid for us. Beautifully decorated property with stunning views. Beach is clean and child friendly, with coast guards. Dog friendly at certain times in the day. There are steps leading down to the property so might not be great for those with disabilities. There is a lift further down but a little way to get to apartment on gravel path. Very quiet even though the train station is just behind the apartment. To wake up in the morning to hear the sea and see the beautiful beach is blissful! Fabulous week for my 70th Birthday with my daughter! Views and constant sound of the waves wonderful! The little train was a treat. Weather was mostly sunny despite the forecasts. The Bay seems to have its own micro climate. We enjoyed seals, Tame robins, seabirds diving for their supper. And we both went for a swim! ...

I doubt you’ll find an apartment with a better view. Waking up to the gentle sounds of waves lapping against the shore is just very special.
