The sitting-room has a wood-burning stove and deep comfy sofas to curl up on.
Two sets of doors open onto this wide paved terrace and the fully enclosed garden. The post and rail fencing also has rabbit proof wire and so is as secure as is reasonably possible.
The kitchen/dining-room is really spacious, with the front door opening to the farmstead.
The two and a half acre arboretum is the most beautiful and peaceful place to explore, sit with a book or have a picnic lunch.
Stairs lead from the sitting-room to the first floor of the cottage. There is also a door directly out onto the patio.
The kitchen is a delightful sociable space to cook in, with the farmhouse table in the other half of the room.
The sparkling worktop will inspire you to cook, but there is also a footpath through woodland directly to the friendly local pub.

The main bedroom has a king-size bed and its own en suite shower-room. High ceilings and a large window make this room lovely and light and airy.
You can sit in bed with your morning cup of tea and look out over the meadow. You are quite likely to see deer grazing in the evening or early in the morning.
The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the corridor.
This is the en suite shower-room for the master bedroom. The wonderful shower has a rainfall shower head as well as a conventional one.
The second bedroom has views out over the 2.5 acre arboretum which is filled with unique tree species.
The bathroom next to the twin bedroom has a bath as well as a fitted shower.

A lovely property in a great setting. It has the benefit of feeling very secluded but is still close to road links for days out. The property itself is modern and very well kept. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the welcome gift of some of their own produce....

Well what can I say, but simply fabulous. Beautiful property, with every detail thought of. Every thing you need for your holiday, as my husband said, if you can't find it you've not looked hard enough. Ian and Lucy were the best hosts, involving us with the farm, especially as we were there for haymaking. The arbouretum is a must, so peaceful and tranquil. We walked our dogs there twice a day, my favourite place. The garden was big and secure for both our dogs. All I can add is we will definitely be back and we loved every relaxing minute of our holiday. ...

Crab Apple Cottage was beautifully furnished and decorated. It provided everything you could possibly want and more being an Eco property. It’s location was excellent with easy access to both the coast and inland attractions. The owners Ian and Lucy were lovely and very welcoming, and what a pleasure it was to stroll through their extensive Arboretum and sit on the bench and listen to the bird song. Crab Apple cottage is a real gem. The standard of furnishing, equipment, comfort and cleanliness is exceptional and this is simply the best cottage we have stayed in. Lucy and Ian are excellent hosts; nothing is too much trouble and they really go the extra mile to ensure that their visitors have a memorable experience. The outside space is lovely and the arboretum is simply beautiful and such a unique selling point. Lucy's welcome pack is so thoughtful too; it's lovely to have such delicious local produce, and as usual I came home with a few jars of Daisyland crab apple jelly. This was our third visit and we've just booked to go back next year. Need I say more?...
