SingleApsley Cottage is a welcoming cottage with a hot tub on the Cowdray Estate, situated in a secluded location just outside the picturesque village of Bepton, a short drive from Midhurst.
Tucked away, the cottage has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside and is the perfect spot for couples and families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and wake up to the sounds of birdsong and mother nature.
As you enter the cottage you will notice it has retained many original features. There is a dining-room with wood-burner, a cosy sitting-room also with wood-burner, a downstairs bathroom, and a well appointed contemporary kitchen. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one king-size double and two singles.
The laundry-room is outside and houses the washing machine and tumble-drier. There is also an ironing board with an iron in situ should you require this during your stay.
The garden with its wonderful hot tub is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the countryside. Go out the garden gate and you are straight onto a network of footpaths and not far from the South Downs Way.
This lovely cottage is perfectly located to explore all that Cowdray and the idyllic surrounding area has to offer. Visit the Cowdray Farm Shop and Cafe, the Cowdray Ruins, or the Lawns Polo Enclosure where world class polo takes place during the summer months.
Throughout the year the Cowdray Estate offer a range of workshops from golf, fly fishing, foraging walks, stargazing, simulated game shoots, polo lessons, gun dog training and even a Bear Grylls Survival Academy. There are also alternative therapies that can be booked along with yoga, Pilates, meditation and even chanting classes.
There are several historic houses and gardens to visit here in Sussex including Goodwood House, the beautiful Petworth House, nestled in a 700-acre deer park, the fairy tale Amberley and Arundel Castles, Chichester Cathedral, Stansted House, West Dean and Woolbeding Gardens.
Visit the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Tangmere Military Aviation Museum, Fishbourne Roman Palace, the South Downs Planetarium, or the Chichester Festival Theatre for world class productions. Take a trip to the coast and experience Chichester Harbour, West Wittering Beach, Selsey, Bosham and Bracklesham Bay.
A 20-minute drive will take you to Goodwood which holds many events throughout the year including the Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood, and Goodwood Revival.
