Little stables is a very well appointed cottage in the heart of the historic village of kingsand. It was clean and comfortable and the owner could not have been more helpful. The bed was really comfortable, the lounge very relaxing and the location so close to the pubs and beaches, made little stables the best place we have stayed at in kingsand in the 10 years we have been spending the winter half term there....

We had a lovely week at Little Stables to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were so grateful to be accommodated there at short notice. The cottage was warm and cozy and very well equipped with comfortable bed and hot shower ! No outside space but very close to the harbour where we took our coffee in the morning. There are good pubs close by and a wonderful deli with fresh bread, pastries etc and a useful Spa just steps away. Kingsand is a lovely friendly village with so many walks around and about. Highly recommend the Cliff Top Cafe at Whitsand Bay too. ...

What a autumn retreat! Log burner after a chilly walk , just bliss. Not forgetting the mere 2 min walk to either pubs or shop!! Ideal

A pretty cottage that has been thoughtfully equipped and furnished and is ideal for a short or longer break in the picture postcard seaside village of Kingsand. No need to go anywhere else as it's within close reach of the beach, coastal paths, village shops and restaurants. Idyllic....

A perfect place for two and our pooch with the owner going above and beyond to think of all the little things that might be needed to really enjoy a place, often missed in other self-catering places. There was a quality fridge freezer with plenty of space for all our 11 day needs, a quality, easy-to-use cooker and even sharp knives. The property is situated down a narrow main route through the little town and parking is about 200 metres away. The town itself is compact, friendly with excellent pubs serving quality food. This is a place where there is a strong residential presence and the community are friendly to each other and tourists alike. The Kingsand bay is quite sheltered leaving no excuse not to join the local "bluetits" with an early morning swim. We tried it a few times at Kingsands just in front of the Devonport Inn, which has to be one of my most favourite pubs ever. Even in September, we found ourselves fighting for a table. This Inn was also "Kevin's" favourite pub, and sitting outside on the tin chairs overlooking the bay, a drink or two on a tray attached to the railings watching the sun go down, Kevin retrieved his ball and brought it back to anyone who would throw it over onto the beach. He did this non-stop for hours, maybe longer. we'd gone before he gave up. A very friendly town....
