Very well equipped cottage in a good location albeit facing away from the sea. Close to North Coast amenities but with a lovely feeling of remoteness during busy holiday periods.

We had a lovely stay at Cheswardine; such a lovely house - comfortable, spacious but cosy, lots of character, and in a very peaceful location. We hadn't used an Aga before, but it was actually much easier than we thought, and we had some very good home-cooked results. The kitchen was so well equipped, much better than being at home! We didn't really use the second reception room, but for a larger family, or those with young children needing their own space to play or watch TV, I imagine it would be a life-saver. The beds were comfortable, and the double and twin-bedded rooms were all of a good size. We spent some lovely time in the pleasant front garden - I may have dozed off on the hammock once or twice..! The garden was also very dog-friendly and secure. Our pooch felt right at home as soon as we arrived and enjoyed a few snoozes herself in the sunshine. The 15 minute walk down to the local beach was well worth it - it was absolutely beautiful and luckily, not really close enough to any public parking that it attracted the crowds. We'd definitely recommend Cheswardine to other guests, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again ourselves....

Cheswardine is an outstanding holiday cottage. It's beautiful, and sits in a picturesque location just a short walk to the coast, and a short drive to Port Isaac, Polzeath, Trebarwith Strand, Boscastle, Tintagel, Padstow and Rock. The cottage is extremely well equipped, has a lovely garden and patio area, and is ideal for a fantastic family holiday. We will be back. ...

The cozy lounge/s The fox seen in a nearby field & the many delightful birds, bees & butterflies all around us as we sat outside! Finding the coast path to the beach with the amazing views!...
