The location is good for peace and quiet. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the ships go by on the Solent. The D Day landings was being celebrated in Portsmouth so we had a very good view of the fireworks. The house was very comfortable for us and was well equipped with every thing we needed so good outcome for a great stay on the IOW....

This is our third visit to Oaktree Cottage and it was still a wonderful stay despite very inclement weather. The view is stunning and at night seeing the lights on the Spinnaker Tower is spectacular. The house is really tastefully decorated and furnished. We especially enjoy sitting on the balcony or the lovely bench around the kitchen table and taking in the views. Seaview is a great location from which to explore the beautiful Isle of Wight. ...

In terms of my expectations, the cottage met them in terms of the location, equipment and facilities. The amount of basics such as salt pepper cooking oil tea/coffee etc was very welcome and appreciated. The view from the baIcony was exceptional. We had a very good stay- improved cleaning and better extraction fans would turn a good property into an excellent one. I was disappointed with the cleaning - particularly the hard floors and surfaces as they were dirty/dusty. The tablecloth needed wiping to remove food and stickiness on arrival. The bathrooms both had inadequate ventilation and smelt musty....
