Our second stay as an extended family. A perfect place to get away from the noise and turmoil of everyday life. The journey to the cottage along the bridle way was worth the careful driving to arrive at this lovely property. Our two year old grand son always waited in anticipation as we went by the sign to Knights Farm , a reminder to him of one of his favourite story books, ‘Room on the Broom’ ! The cottage was perfect in every way. I don’t think we have ever stayed in any other classic property which felt so much like being at home. We thought that the cottage offered the perfect combination, a haven of peace and comfort with no distance to travel to any number of places. ...

The property is gorgeous and in an idyllic location surrounded by countryside and wildlife and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be re-booking next year. However the access to the property is by an unmade up bridleway, the first part of this is fairly easy to negotiate however nearer to the property there are many large potholes. Our family have large SUVs but it would be difficult to negotiate in a smaller car especially in wet weather and some would not want to do so. Additionally the stairs in the old part of the cottage are steep with small treads and in the new extension the stairs are open sided with no handrail. The property may therefore not be suitable for those with mobility issues and the new stairs especially could be a safety hazard. Those with young children should be warned that there is no stair gate, fortunately we took one with us. ...
