Pure relaxation, and just a mile from one of the prettiest villages in Devon. Well worth the very narrow and winding roads to get there. The weather has been amazing too!...

This was a perfect get away. Location fabulous! It was peaceful and relaxing. Great location for exploring. We had a lovely week - it was definitely off the beaten track and very peaceful, it was great to look out at sheep and the occasional pheasant over breakfast! The weather was mostly wet during our stay but it was lovely to be able to curl up by the wood burner in the evenings , very cosy. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the decor very pleasant - and the owners have gone to great effort to make the property eco friendly which is a plus. A word of warning - there is no WiFi and if you are on the 3 network you won’t get any phone signal - this is great for getting away from it all but not so great for practical things like checking the weather forecasts and tide times etc and I wish I’d known this ahead of our trip so I could have done more “homework” before we started our holiday. This is only a minor issue though - overall we had a lovely time and we’d happily book again. Ps : try the lamb inn in Sandford village for a Sunday roast ??...
