There was a distinct smell of musty dampness downstairs in the hall, and both bedrooms. Apparently, St. Mawes had heavy rain during the week prior to our stay? There was daily heavy condensation on all front windows with small puddles formed overnight. What appears to be a line of water marks towards the bottom of all the wardrobe doors and side panel in the main bedroom. Has this property suffered any recent flood damage? A strip of black sticking tape covering a work surface joining seam next to the sink draining board. Not very hygienic or professional! For the benefit of future guests this cottage is definitely in need of some tlc and maintenance expenditure. Different non-matching furniture, curtains not hung to match, dishwasher door opening impacted by adjoining unit. FIRST IMPRESSIONS do count! Would not recommend this cottage. ...

Although we weren't aware of your thoughts during your stay, we arranged an inspection as soon as possible after your stay. We were not able to detect any odour during this inspection, but we do agree that the very heavy rain prior to your stay may have had an impact. We will certainly closely monitor this going forward. Well equipped, spotlessly clean, excellent location. There is a parking space outside the cottage but you need to be aware that it is quite difficult to access.

Beautiful cottage, excellent views of the sea, lovely patio area, comfortable bed, and a lovely location would recommend to stay here everything you need for a relaxing holiday on your doorstep, and surrounding area.

This is a very well situated property that allows you to discover the treasures of the Roseland. The provision of onsite parking is a bonus, but could be a little challenging for those not so confident parking in close proximity to other cars and steps. The Rising Sun pub is well worth a visit as is the Hidden Hut....
