Dulverton is a good base ,a fine little town, good pubs and food and friendly people.

If you have mobility problems stairs could be tricky especially with toilet upstairs. If you are over 6 foot be prepared to bang your head. Lounge only about 6 foot high. Parking next to house tight but car park next door and parking in street. Dulverton a lovely town with good butcher and large coop. Nice shops to browse in. The lion pub and restaurant, the bridge inn and Woods restaurant all excellent and easy to walk to. Most dog friendly town we have ever been in. Roads quiet and peaceful in May and a delight to drive on. Lovely walks along rivers and on moors. Places to visit such as Dunster and Porlock and cream teas everywhere. ...
