Lovely cottage on a lovely farm. We were welcomed and our daughter was introduced to the animals. A perfect property for a family with a small child and possibly an under 6 month old too!

A very warm welcome and a great cottage, both Colin and Sally were wonderful hosts. Our 2 yr old really enjoyed meeting the dogs, cat and hens; and the short trip to meet the cows also brought great delight. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with all the facilities and amenities close by you would need for a pleasant stay. As a bonus there is an eclectic range of novels from Danielle Steel to Charles Bukowski, along with current OS maps of the surrounding area, which was really useful. The Cottage is in a peaceful location and within 5 minutes of both Portreath and Porthtowan and 10 min from Chapel Porth, our favourite beach. We look forward to our next visit. ...

Wonderful location if you are looking to explore the north coast. Perfect for a young family as the garden was a great size to play in after a day at the beach. The owners are so pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us. Overall I would definitely stay here again and we are even considering renting both cottages next time so our parents can join us. ...

What a wonderful place to stay! Location was perfect as we were close to so many places we wanted to visit. Cottage is fantastic and in such relaxing surroundings. The owners were very welcoming and we loved the greetings we got from Lucy and co every time we returned from a day out. Would highly recommend....

We had a fantastic stay at Kernel's Barn. The cottage is clean, well maintained and comfortable and we found it perfect for us (2 adults and teenage son). This area of Cornwall is beautiful with stunning beaches and headland walks within a five minute drive. Slightly further (10 mins) is the fantastic Gwithian beach which we returned to a few times in our quest to improve our surfing skills. This part of Cornwall is quieter than some of its noisy neighbours, but there is still so much to do. Would definitely recommend. ...
